[Quickbase US Status] Notice: Infrastructure Maintenance (Planned) - Down Time

12/08/2024, 06:10am EST
Note, this maintenance window on Sunday, December 8, 6:10 AM to 8:00 AM Eastern US Time was previously communicated as part of the notice for the corresponding maintenance window on Saturday, December 7. We are publishing this additional notice to ensure that it is clear that the Quickbase US platform will also be unavailable during the designated period on Sunday. See the original notice below.
The Quickbase team will be performing planned maintenance to upgrade the load balancing service supporting the Quickbase US platform.
The Quickbase Load Balancer, or QLB, is responsible for routing all requests made to the platform to the appropriate computers for processing. We have been implementing upgrades to QLB over the past 18 months for the purpose of improving its reliability, performance, and scalability as use of the Quickbase platform continues to grow aggressively. These two upcoming maintenance windows are a continuation of that process. In some cases, the upgrades have been able to occur without any down time but in these upcoming cases we do need to restart the platform as part of the upgrade process and hence there will be down time. We expect to fully complete the upgrades during the first quarter of 2025 and will make announcements of future maintenance windows on our service page as needed.
Quickbase US will be unavailable during these maintenance windows.
The down time windows will be:
Saturday, December 7, 2024, between 12:10 AM and 2:00 AM Eastern US Time
Sunday, December 8, 2024, between 6:10 AM and 8:00 AM Eastern US Time
12/08/2024, 06:45am EST
12/08/2024, 06:45am EST
Quickbase US was available as of 6:39 AM Eastern US Time. It is expected that overall performance is slower than normal for a few minutes following a restart of the platform. As of 6:45 AM Eastern US Time, overall Quickbase US performance returned to normal. However, we did observe that e-mail subscriptions and reminders processed slower than normal until 7:18 AM, and connected table refreshes were slower than normal until 7:35 AM. We have follow-up work scheduled to investigate the reasons for these delays and potential solutions.
This incident is closed.
